Udinese's €6m offer for Ugresic fuels battle for Atta's replacement
Udinese are looking to replace Arthur Atta, who has just moved to Fiorentina, and have tabled a €6m bid for Partizan Belgrade midfielder Ognjen Ugresic. The Italian club sees the 20‑year‑old as the ideal successor in the attacking midfield role. Their proposal arrives as a bidding war intensifies, with several clubs also circling the Serbian talent.
Competing clubs include Serie A side Sassuolo, Bologna, Belgian outfit Club Brugge, German side Eintracht Frankfurt and French side AS Monaco. Sassuolo had been prepared to offer €5m, a figure the Friulani aim to outbid with their €6m proposal. Bologna are reported to be tracking Ugresic’s progress alongside the other suitors.
According to Tuttomercatoweb transfer analyst Marco Conterio, the Friulani have formally submitted a €6m offer to the Serbian side. Conterio’s comments underline that Udinese are willing to invest significantly to secure the midfielder. The club’s willingness to meet the price ceiling sets them apart from the competition.

Ugresic, a product of the Partizan Belgrade youth academy, broke into the senior squad in January 2025 and earned his first senior cap for Serbia in October 2025. Primarily an attacking midfielder, he can also operate in a more advanced role. He will celebrate his 20th birthday next week, adding youthful vigor to Udinese’s plans. The finalisation of the deal will depend on Udinese outpacing Club Brugge, Eintracht Frankfurt and AS Monaco, while also satisfying Bologna’s interest. Overcoming these hurdles will be crucial before the summer transfer window closes.
