Stuntend Excelsior taps TikTok to sign keeper Fleur Jansen
Stuntend Excelsior has announced the signing of goalkeeper Fleur Jansen from Rosendaal after scouting her on TikTok, marking a digital‑driven recruitment move for the Rotterdamse club’s women’s side. The 19‑minute announcement posted today at 19:37 on the club’s official channels highlighted the TikTok Ik caption accompanying her quote.
The club’s keeper trainer, part of the Kralingers, discovered Jansen through social media. She has been guarding the net for the men’s amateur side Schoondijke for several years and regularly posts match footage online. His scouting highlights Excelsior’s shift toward digital talent identification.
Jansen said, “I can play well with my feet, and occasionally I also keep a ball,” adding that filming matches helped her reach a wider audience. She noted that the response on TikTok was strong.
Head of women’s football Nicole Deurholt explained that Jansen’s story stood out on social media and that her mentality impressed the staff. She said the goalkeeper convinced the club not only with her abilities but also with her attitude.
Deurholt added that Jansen is eager to learn, open to development and fits the culture Excelsior aims to create. The club believes its environment will allow her to take the next step in her career. Het club management sees this as a strategic addition. She will join training this week as the squad prepares for upcoming fixtures.
