German squad bonds with card game ahead of World Cup
The German national team is enjoying high spirits ahead of the World Cup in North America, partly due to a popular card game.
Coach Julian Nagelsmann introduced the card game as a team-building activity during training in Mallorca. The squad, including veterans like Joshua Kimmich and Thomas Müller, has embraced the routine.
Kimmich confirmed the game’s role in fostering team chemistry. "It’s a fun way to relax and connect," he said.

Müller added that the card game helps break the tension before the tournament. "It’s a nice distraction from the pressure," he noted. The German Football Association (DFB) has not commented on the team’s pre-World Cup preparations. The World Cup begins on June 14 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
