For Kolo Muani, a surprising Spurs return is back on the table
Randal Kolo Muani’s future is in flux after a difficult spell at Tottenham Hotspur. The 27-year-old Frenchman scored just once in 30 Premier League appearances during his loan at Spurs last season.
Now back at Paris Saint-Germain, Kolo Muani is expected to leave the Parc des Princes in the coming weeks. Reports suggest his parent club is close to agreeing terms with Juventus for a permanent transfer.
However, L’Équipe contact has also been established between Kolo Muani and Tottenham Hotspur. A return to North London, where his loan stint underperformed, is now a possibility.
PSG winger wants Premier League switch despite club objections
Kolo Muani thrived in Serie A before his time at Spurs. During a six-month loan at Juventus the season prior, he scored 10 goals in 22 Serie A games. His form in Italy contrasts sharply with his struggles in England. Last season’s Premier League campaign was particularly challenging for the France international. Foot Mercato reported at the end of June that PSG and Juventus were nearing an agreement for Kolo Muani’s permanent move. The deal remains on track, but a late twist could see him back at Tottenham instead. The Frenchman’s future will be decided in the coming weeks as clubs finalise their transfer plans ahead of the Mercato deadline.
