Dutch players touch down at Schiphol after round‑of‑16 exit
On Wednesday evening, the Netherlands national team stepped off the plane at Schiphol Airport, their return marking the end of a brief World Cup campaign. The side had been eliminated in the round of 16 after a penalty shootout loss to Morocco.

Ronald Koeman, 63, confirmed a day after the defeat that his tenure as head coach of the Netherlands national team was over. A successor has not yet been identified.
