Club Brugge eyes record-breaking summer as Tzolis deal looms

🇧🇪 By 4All Football Editorial ·
Le Club de Bruges stands on the brink of the most lucrative transfer window in its history, with a string of high‑profile departures that could push summer earnings past previous records. The club’s strategy of developing talent and selling at peak value underpins this ambition. Last season the Blauw en Zwart recorded over €90 million in sales, boosted by bonuses and secondary operations. Key exits included Ardon Jashari, Maxim De Cuyper, Chemsdine Talbi and Andreas Skov Olsen, each contributing to the high total. NOUVEAU Reçois des notifications pour chaque news importante ! Inscris-toi ICI ! Deviens fan de FC Bruges! The headline deal this summer is the departure of Greek winger Christos Tzolis to Arsenal for €40 million, not including bonuses. This fee would make him the most expensive sale in Belgian championship history. Aleksandar Stankovic returned to Inter Milan for €23 million, while Getafe paid €5 million for Zaid Romero. Together these three transfers amount to roughly €70 million, bringing the club close to last year’s total. Jesse Bisiwu, a Club NXT prospect, is reported to be near a move to FC Barcelona for around €10 million. Additional interest surrounds Joel Ordonez, Raphael Onyedika, Joaquin Seys – with Aston Villa among suitors – and Nicolo Tresoldi. Beyond transfer fees, the club expects nearly €40 million from its Champions League run, which reached the round of 16 against Atlético Madrid. This European income adds a substantial cushion to the summer budget. With this combined inflow, Club Brugge will have a sizable envelope to rebuild its squad, attract significant reinforcements, and retain key players. The model of nurturing youth, showcasing them in Europe, and selling at peak value remains a core strength. The juxtaposition of last season’s €90 million haul with the current trajectory shows Brugge poised to set a new record, provided it balances sales with squad depth. The upcoming weeks will determine how the club converts financial muscle into on‑field ambition.
