Bayern's €55m bargain adds World Cup star Saibari to attack
Bayern Munich confirmed on Wednesday (1st) the signing of 25‑year‑old Moroccan forward Ismaël Saibari for an estimated €55 million, a move aimed at strengthening their attack ahead of next season. The Bavarian club described the deal as a major top‑tier addition, despite the modest fee by current market standards.
Bayern Munich had been actively searching for attacking reinforcements ahead of the coming season. Saibari, 25, was highlighted as one of the standout performers of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Moroccan forward arrives in German football after impressing with PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands. His reputation from the Dutch league adds a new dimension to Bayern’s forward line.
The transfer fee of €55 million is described as modest by today’s market standards. For comparison, German midfielder Nick Woltmade moved from Stuttgart to Newcastle for €90 million in the last window.
In the previous campaign Saibari recorded 19 goals and 9 assists across all competitions. Those numbers underline his eye for goal and creative ability.
His signing is expected to intensify competition for places in Bayern’s attack and provide additional creativity for the club’s upcoming European challenges.
