Aston Villa eye €14m bid for Milan’s under‑used left‑back

🇮🇹 By 4All Football Editorial ·

€14 million is the price Aston Villa have reportedly offered for AC Milan left‑back Pervis Estupinan, the Ecuador international whose contract runs until June 2030. The English club sees the fee as a way to add depth on the left side while allowing Milan to offload a player they consider one of last summer’s less successful signings.

Transfer analyst Matteo Moretto told Fabrizio Romano’s Italian-language YouTube channel that Villa have approached Milan to gauge Estupinan’s asking price and fitness. Moretto added that the Villa side want to confirm the defender’s condition before advancing negotiations.

Milan do not see Estupinan in the plans of new coach Ruben Amorim, and the Rossoneri are keen to move him on. The ITALY‑based hierarchy view him as one of last summer’s less successful investments.

The defender arrived from Brighton and Hove Albion for €17 million plus up to €2 million in add‑ons, having previously featured for Villarreal, Watford, Osasuna and Udinese. He turned 28 in JANUARY and recorded 22 competitive appearances for Milan last season, scoring once, assisting once and receiving a red card.

If Villa meet the €14 million price tag, Milan could free a senior wage and a squad spot ahead of the new season. For the English club, securing the Ecuador international would add depth to their left side and settle the player’s uncertain future after limited impact at AC Milan.

Estupinan’s contract is tied to the San Siro stadium until June 2030, meaning the player remains a MILAN asset for the next few years. Both clubs will need to resolve the deal before the start of pre‑season training to avoid any disruption to their squad planning.
