AC Milan Women face Como double-header to open Serie A Cup

🇮🇹

At the PUMA House of Football, the lights are still off and the pitch is empty. In just over two weeks, AC Milan Women will host Como Women under those same floodlights to launch the Serie A Women’s Cup 2026/27.

The calendar is fixed: the tournament begins on 22–23 August 2026, the same weekend as the men’s Serie A curtain-raiser. Suzanne Bakker’s side will play three group-stage matches in quick succession, starting with AC Milan v Como Women at home on Matchday 1.

Their second fixture lands at the PUMA House of Football seven days later, again against Como 1907. The final group game takes the Rossonere to Juventus on 5–6 September 2026, completing a compact Group C that also includes Como Women and Como 1907.

The competition mirrors last season’s layout: three groups of four, followed by a Final Four to crown the champions. AC Milan Women will aim to succeed Juventus, who lifted the trophy in 2025/26.

The knockout rounds begin on 12–13 September 2026, with the final scheduled for 19–20 September 2026. One week after the final whistle, the Serie A Women league season will kick off with twelve teams over 22 matchdays.

AC Milan Women’s pre-season training camp is due to start in the coming days, giving Bakker time to finalise tactics before the opening whistle against Como Women.

Group A is made up of Inter, Lazio, Napoli Women and Parma, while Group B features Roma, Fiorentina, Sassuolo and Ternana Women. All three groups will produce one Final Four qualifier.

The PUMA House of Football will host AC Milan Women’s second group match, providing a familiar setting for the club’s pre-season preparations.

Suzanne Bakker’s squad will have less than a month to navigate the group stage and reach the semi-finals before the league campaign resumes.
