Sunderland eye argentina midfielder Matias Soule
Sunderland are showing interest in AS Roma winger Matias Soule, according to a recent report by Tele Radio Stereo. The Black Cats would have to compete with other clubs from Saudi Arabia and Borussia Dortmund to land the Argentine wide player.
Matias Soule enjoyed a decent run of form at AS Roma, putting in impressive displays on the right flank. The 23-year-old scored seven goals and secured eight assists in 42 matches for Roma last season.
Soule's current contract at the Italian club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for Sunderland to sign him on the cheap later this year.
The Argentine talent is a good dribbler and can make driving runs with the ball out on the flanks. He has the eye to play decisive passes in the final third and can shoot the ball with venom from long range.
Soule can chip in by scoring and creating important goals for his team. He is primarily a right-winger but can also fill in as a striker or play in the number ten position if required.
If Sunderland manage to sign Soule, he can add quality and depth to Regis Le Bris' frontline in the long run. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting spot at the Wearside club in the coming seasons.
