Manchester United agree £38m deal for Atalanta's Ederson

Manchester United have finalised a £38m agreement with Atalanta for midfielder Ederson. The 26-year-old Brazilian joins on a five-year contract. Ederson completed 3,200 minutes across Serie A and European competitions last season. He scored seven goals and provided three assists in Serie A alone. Manchester United will meet Atalanta’s valuation of £38m after negotiating a reduced fee. The club avoided a higher release clause by concluding talks before the deadline.

Ederson’s arrival addresses Manchester United’s midfield depth concerns. Scott McTominay and Kobbie Mainoo remain central to Erik ten Hag’s plans.
