From Wealdstone to Woking: Adarkwa seals National League switch

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

Woking have bolstered their striking options with the signing of Sean Adarkwa from National League rivals Wealdstone. The 25-year-old forward joins on a one-year contract, with a club option for a further 12 months.

Adarkwa arrives at Woking having scored 15 goals in 68 National League appearances across three seasons with Wealdstone. His record suggests a reliable finisher in the fifth tier, where goals are at a premium.

A graduate of West Ham United’s academy, Adarkwa has also featured for Arbroath and Maidstone United in his senior career. His experience in the National League adds depth to Woking’s attacking ranks.

Woking director of football Jody Brown highlighted Adarkwa’s potential, stating: "Sean's a player I've been looking at for a long time, maybe five years. He has the potential to be as good a number nine as any in the division."

The move addresses a clear need for a proven goal threat at Woking, where strikeforce consistency has been a talking point in recent months. Adarkwa’s arrival provides immediate competition for first-choice strikers.

With his contract including a one-year extension clause, Woking retain flexibility while securing a player with a proven track record in the division. The club will hope his experience translates to improved performances in the National League.
