Mauro Couto Replaces Mateus Mané in Portugal U20 Squad

Mauro Couto has been called up to the Portugal U20 national team for the Maurice Revello Tournament. He replaces Mateus Mané in the squad announced on Tuesday.

Couto is a winger for Sporting's B team. Mané is a player for Wolverhampton.

The Portuguese Football Federation did not disclose the reason for the change. The squad update was released in an official statement.

Coach Oceano Cruz and his staff are training at the Cidade do Futebol. They will remain there until June 14, when the team moves to Toulon, France.

The Quinas will meet Japan, Ivory Coast, Venezuela and Canada in the tournament. These matches are scheduled as part of the 52nd edition of the competition.

Preparation continues as the squad finalises its roster ahead of the June fixtures. Portugal aims to compete strongly in the French host city.
