Adrien Rabiot Joins Marseille After PSG Free Transfer

🇫🇷 20 May 2026

Adrien Rabiot is a midfielder for Olympique Marseille and the France national team. He was part of the squad that captured the 2021 UEFA Nations League title.

Rabiot had previously turned down a place as a reserve in the France group that ultimately became world champions in 2018. His decision was made before the tournament.

The player began his football education at Paris Saint-Germain, where he progressed through the club's youth system. PSG was the club that later released him on a free transfer.

His departure from PSG followed a prolonged dispute with the Parisian club. The disagreement led to his contract being terminated without a transfer fee.

Since joining Olympique Marseille, Rabiot has taken up a central midfield role. He continues to feature regularly for the Ligue 1 side.

Rabiot's experience includes both club-level development and international success, illustrating his evolution from academy prospect to senior France international.
