AC Milan poised to break transfer record for Goncalo Ramos
AC Milan are set to pay between €53 million and €55 million for Paris Saint‑Germain striker Goncalo Ramos, a fee that would make him the club’s most expensive signing to date. Ramos has already completed his medical in Florida, where the Portugal national team prepares for its World Cup matches.
Multiple sources such as The Athletic, Calciomercato and report that AC Milan and PSG have reached an agreement for the transfer. The reported fee includes add‑ons and bonuses that could bring the total to €53‑55 million.
The previous record belonged to Portuguese forward Rafael Leão, whose transfer ultimately cost €49.5 million. Milan initially paid €30 million for Leão from LOSC in 2018, then added €20.2 million in compensation after a legal dispute with Sporting CP.
Leonardo Bonucci became the next most costly signing at €42 million when he arrived from Juventus in 2017. Manuel Rui Costa fetched €41.32 million from Fiorentina in 2001, ranking behind Bonucci.
Lucas Paquetá was bought from Flamengo for €38.4 million in the 2018‑19 season. The following year, André Silva arrived from FC Porto for €38 million.
Mattia Caldara ranks as the sixth‑most expensive acquisition at €37.74 million from Juventus in 2018‑19. His career was hampered by a serious injury, leading to loans at Atalanta, Venezia, Spezia and Modena before retiring in 2025 after only three appearances for Milan.
If the deal proceeds, Ramos will eclipse all previous Milan purchases and reinforce the Rossoneri’s attacking options. The club hopes the striker’s arrival will boost their ambitions in Serie A and Europe.
