Aberdeen have secured Moroccan striker Ayoub Mouloua from FUS Rabat on a three‑year contract that includes an option for a further twelve months. The 23‑year‑old finished the 2024/25 season as joint top scorer in the Moroccan top flight with 11 goals, a record that underscored his potential.

Mouloua made 21 appearances for Rabat last term, finding the net six times in the league. He has also earned two caps for the Moroccan national side and featured in last summer's African Nations Championship.

"We have been tracking Ayoub for several months now and have made a number of trips to Morocco to watch him play and get a real feel for the type of player and person he is," head coach Stephen Robinson said. The coach added that the scouting trips gave Aberdeen confidence in the striker's abilities.

"He's a brave, aggressive striker who will give us a real physical presence in attack, but he's much more than that. He's mobile, works tirelessly for the team and has shown he knows where the goal is," Robinson explained. His assessment highlighted both the physical and technical attributes that attracted the Dons.

"It is a great honour to have the opportunity to join a club with the history and stature of Aberdeen," Mouloua told club media. He expressed gratitude to FUS Rabat, the club where he began his career, and said the move was the right step to continue his development.

The signing gives Aberdeen a forward who can add firepower and a relentless work ethic to their attacking options. For Mouloua, the move offers a new environment to challenge himself and the chance to impress at Pittodrie.

Mouloua also pledged to work hard every day to help bring success to the club and its supporters. He looks forward to meeting his new teammates and making an impact in the Scottish Premiership.
