Malen scores as Roma beat Verona 2-0 at Bentegodi
Romelu Malen scored as AS Roma defeated Hellas Verona 2-0 at the Bentegodi Stadium. Stephan El Shaarawy added the second goal in the second half.
The result pushed Roma to third place in Serie A, securing Champions League qualification for next season. Malen’s strike came in the 34th minute, with El Shaarawy doubling the lead in the 67th minute.
Roma’s victory extended their unbeaten run to five league matches. Hellas Verona remain in 15th place with 32 points.
Manager Daniele De Rossi praised Malen’s performance after the match. The Dutch forward has now scored four Serie A goals this season.
