Barcelona eyes teenage winger Jesse Bisiwu to fill Lewandowski void

🇪🇸 Por Fútbol4All Editorial ·
Idioma: ES PT
Barcelona have turned to Jesse Bisiwu to plug the void left by Robert Lewandowski’s departure and the unextended loan of Marcus Rashford, seeking a fresh attacking spark for the Blaugrana as they rebuild their forward line in a summer that also saw Anthony Gordon arrive from Newcastle United and Karim Adeyemi poised to join. According to Fabrizio Romano, the 18‑year‑old Belgian has given the Catalan club the green light to proceed with a move. Club Brugge initially rejected Barça’s €9 million bid for Jesse, forcing Barcelona to rethink its offer. Negotiations now hinge on a revised financial package and a sell‑on clause demanded by Brugge. Deco has been tasked with preparing a new bid that satisfies those conditions. The Blaugrana have prioritized attacking reinforcements this summer, with Anthony Gordon’s arrival from Newcastle United finalised just before the World Cup and Karim Adeyemi also set to join. Bisiwu would slot into a reshaped attack alongside Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Gordon, Adeyemi and Julian Alvarez. Club Brugge remains firm, insisting on a significant sell‑on clause as part of any deal. Bisiwu’s Instagram activity has fuelled speculation, with posts referencing his commitment to the move. For Barcelona, balancing ambition with financial prudence is key, as Hansi Flick prefers players who contribute both in and out of possession. If Ferran Torres, the Spanish forward, departs – with PSG reportedly interested – the attack could solidify around Yamal, Raphinha, Gordon, Adeyemi, Bisiwu and Alvarez, while Torres’ future remains uncertain. The next step for Barcelona is to agree on the revised package and the sell‑on clause before finalising Bisiwu’s transfer. Only then can the Club complete its summer overhaul and integrate the teenage winger into its long‑term plans.
