Roma push to shave €25m off Bruges’ price tag for Tresoldi
In the bustling heart of Rome, Roma officials are huddled over spreadsheets, trying to trim Club Brugge’s hefty price tag for striker Nicolò Tresoldi. The Giallorossi aim to bring the 2004‑born forward to the capital while easing Bruges’ demands. Negotiations are expected to hinge on a €25 million figure.
Among the reinforcements requested by Gian Piero Gasperini is a direct replacement for Donyell Malen. The coach has signalled that bolstering the attack is a priority for the upcoming season.
The Giallorossi coach has reportedly identified Nicolò Tresoldi as the ideal candidate, praising his youth and promise. Gasperini believes the striker can slot seamlessly into Roma’s forward line.
Artem Dovbyk is explicitly excluded from the plan, as Gasperini prefers the Italian‑German forward. The coach insists the 2004‑born player fits the tactical profile better than any alternative.
Club Brugge, aware of their striker’s value, continue to demand a significant fee and show no willingness to discount. The Belgian club’s asking price remains above Roma’s offer, creating a sizable gap. Discussions persist as both sides search for a compromise.
According to Il Tempo, Roma are working to lower the Belgian club’s demand, targeting a €25 million settlement. While the gap endures, negotiations are ongoing in hopes of reaching an agreement.
