Real Madrid eyes cash boost from Alvaro Rodriguez's Bournemouth move
Real Madrid will receive €12.5 million from Alvaro Rodriguez’s move to Bournemouth, with a further €2.5 million possible on variables, as the English club agreed a €25 million fixed fee plus €5 million in add‑ons with Elche.
Real Madrid secured Ibrahima Konate and Bernardo Silva on free transfers. The club then spent €55 million on Marc Cucurella, with a potential €5 million in variables. It also paid €20 million for Denzel Dumfries’ release clause and €15 million to Benfica to trigger Jose Mourinho’s release clause.
These expenditures have prompted Real Madrid to look for ways to recoup part of the outlay through exit operations. The club also intends to generate revenue from former players whose registration rights it still holds.
Alvaro Rodriguez, whose 50 % rights remain with Real Madrid, completed a transfer as Bournemouth reached an agreement with Elche. Bournemouth will pay €25 million fixed and €5 million variable; Real Madrid will collect €12.5 million fixed and possibly €2.5 million, plus the €2 million already received from Elche, raising total income to €17 million.
Real Madrid have already secured significant sums for Nico Paz and Victor Munoz. These earnings illustrate the club’s growing financial returns from its youth development before the summer window closes.
The incoming cash eases Real Madrid’s spending pressure as it balances its books. For Bournemouth, the deal secures a striker for a total €30 million outlay, while Elche benefits from the initial €2 million payment.
