Présenté par Mons, then Sporting Charleroi: a breach of respect
Presented on Wednesday evening before the RAEC Mons supporters as the club’s new physical trainer, Philip Garvo surprised both sides by resigning on Thursday to join Sporting Charleroi, leaving the Dragons bewildered by a move they describe as ‘Un manque de respect’.
The club announced on Thursday that it learned with astonishment that Garvo had already committed to the Zèbres at the time of his presentation.
RAEC Mons cannot hide its astonishment at this decision and the procedures used, noting that Sporting Charleroi knew Philip Garvo was contractually bound to our club.
Garvo had been employed by a Polish club before RAEC Mons recruited him to integrate into its staff.
With the start of the season fast approaching, the Mons club must now find a replacement physical trainer.

The contrast between the club’s public presentation and the swift departure highlights a breakdown in mutual respect and forces RAEC Mons to act quickly to stabilise its back‑room staff.
