Eight‑million euro move: Feyenoord lands Nacho Ferri from Westerlo
Feyenoord have secured the signing of 21‑year‑old Spanish striker Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Ferri from KVC Westerlo for a reported eight‑million‑euro fee, marking the Dutch club’s first million‑deal under sporting director Dévy Rigaux. The deal runs until mid‑2030 and follows Ferri’s productive season in Belgium where he netted 11 goals and added four assists.
Ferri expressed excitement about joining Feyenoord, saying he looks forward to playing for the club. He noted that after two years in Belgium he feels ready to move to a larger stage, describing the transition from “’t Kuipje” in Westerlo to “De Kuip” in Rotterdam as the perfect step.
He added that Feyenoord’s rich history and ambition, including a Champions League campaign next season, motivate him. Ferri said he is eager to meet teammates and begin his new chapter.

Ferri began his football journey in Montaverner, Spain, progressing through the youth academies of Ontinyent CF and UD Alzira. In 2021 he joined German side Eintracht Frankfurt, impressing in the reserve team before making his senior debut at 18 in September 2023. In the summer of 2024 Ferri moved on loan to KV Kortrijk to gain more playing time. He became a regular starter throughout the Jupiler Pro League season, earning praise for his work ethic and physical presence. KVC Westerlo then signed Ferri permanently, where he recorded 11 goals and four assists in the most recent campaign. Westerlo reportedly paid a “thick million” for the player before agreeing to the eight‑million‑euro transfer to the Netherlands. The club, known as De Kemphanen, officially confirmed the transfer and extended their good wishes to Ferri as he departs for Rotterdam. This move reflects a win‑win situation for both clubs, according to the statements released.
