Monza's new era clashes with Ivan Juric's turbulent résumé
Monza have officially named Ivan Juric as head coach after securing promotion to Serie A, while Paolo Bianco departed for a role at Pisa. The Bergamo‑based club reclaimed top‑flight status via the Serie B play‑offs after just one season in the second tier.
Monza fought their way through the Serie B play‑offs to regain top‑flight status after just one year away. Their promotion marks a rapid bounce‑back for the side.
Paolo Bianco chose to leave Monza for a coaching role at Pisa. His contract with Monza was terminated by mutual consent.
Ivan Juric left Torino in the summer of 2024, beginning a turbulent period. He managed Roma for only 12 games before being dismissed in November 2024.
Juric was appointed by Premier League side Southampton later that year. He was sacked in April 2025 after 16 matches in charge.
His tenure at Atalanta ended after 15 competitive games in November 2025. The spell followed the departure of long‑term coach Gian Piero Gasperini, under whom Juric had previously served as assistant.
Earlier in his career, Juric held managerial positions at Verona, Genoa, Crotone and Mantova. He also worked as an assistant manager to Gian Piero Gasperini before taking head‑coach roles.
With Juric's appointment, Napoli remains the only Serie A club still without a head coach. The club must first secure Max Allegri's release from Milan before naming a successor.
