Arsenal win Premier League title with final match victory

Arsenal secured the Premier League trophy with a final match victory. Mikel Arteta's side finished the season with a league-high 90 points. Martin Ødegaard lifted the trophy as captain in front of the Emirates Stadium crowd.

The win ended a nine-year wait for the Premier League title since their last triumph in 2017. Arsenal finished two points clear of second-placed Manchester City. Bukayo Saka scored the decisive goal in the 89th minute against Everton.

Arteta became the first Spanish manager to win the Premier League. Ødegaard claimed the Playmaker of the Season award. Declan Rice joined Arsenal from West Ham United in a club-record £105m deal during the summer transfer window.

The Gunners lost only three league games all season. Their defensive record included 16 clean sheets. William Saliba was named in the Premier League Team of the Year.

The title triumph came on the final day of the season. Arsenal defeated Everton 2-1 at home. The match saw a late winner from Saka after a Jordan Pickford save denied Gabriel Jesus.
