Diego Moreira set for first World Cup with Belgium

Diego Moreira, 21, will attend his first FIFA World Cup with the Belgium national team.

He confirmed the milestone at a press conference in Tubeke on Thursday.

Moreira is a versatile flank player for RC Strasbourg.

He has been a regular member of the squad since his initial call‑up in September 2023.

Belgium head coach Rudi Garcia first included Moreira in the senior roster in September last year.

Garcia has retained him in the selection ever since.

Moreira described the tournament as a "childhood dream" and said he felt a moment of shock at the announcement.
