Domenico Tedesco appointed Bologna head coach until 2028
Domenico Tedesco will become the new head coach of FC Bologna for the upcoming season. The announcement was posted on his personal website on Tuesday afternoon. He signed a contract lasting until the end of June 2028 with an optional additional year.
Tedesco previously served as the Belgium national team manager, the Red Devils' coach. His appointment follows his tenure with the Belgian side. The Italian top‑flight club, often called the Rossoblu, confirmed the hiring.
The contract term secures Tedesco's services for at least five full seasons. The optional year could extend his stay to the 2028‑29 campaign. No transfer fee or compensation details were disclosed.
Bologna will commence the 2024‑25 Serie A campaign under Tedesco's leadership. The club expects the former national coach to implement his tactical vision. Further announcements on backroom staff are pending.
