Enrique Riquelme Vows to Appoint Jurgen Klopp at Real Madrid
Enrique Riquelme, the Real Madrid presidential candidate, said he will hire Jurgen Klopp as manager if elected this weekend. Riquelme also claimed an agreement to sign Erling Braut Haaland and Rodri from Manchester City this summer.
Jurgen Klopp has stated he does not want to take a coaching job yet and has rejected several chances to return to the dugout. Riquelme believes the Madrid challenge is different and will entice the German tactician.
Incumbent Florentino Perez has already hired former coach Jose Mourinho and agreed deals for Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries. Perez also promised to sign another Galactico along the lines of Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka.
Mourinho’s first spell at Real Madrid delivered a La Liga title and memorable battles with Barcelona, but also created significant turbulence. By contrast, Klopp’s long‑term vision, ability to rebuild squads and develop young players transformed Liverpool into European and Premier League champions.
