At Anfield, Mohamed Salah’s departure has sparked a €60 million salary offer from Saudi giants Al‑Hilal, as the Egyptian forward becomes the latest high‑profile exit under new Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola who replaced Arne Slot during the unfinished 2025‑26 season still.

Several first‑team squad members have already packed their bags and left Liverpool, and Victor Munoz’s switch to the club has been confirmed.

The World Cup is still ongoing, making it unlikely that many transfers will be sanctioned before it ends, but that does not stop rumours from emerging.

Brazil journalist Bruno Andrade reported that Al‑Hilal now have a €60 million deal waiting for Salah. "When mentioning that the Saudi team has 60 million euros to offer in salary in the format 20 + 20 + 20, our reporter almost let slip a 67," Sports Center Brasil shared via X.

The termination of Mohamed Salah’s contract was one of the most unexpected developments of the 2025‑26 season. Arne Slot chose to leave him side‑lined for many of Liverpool’s games, leading to a massive falling out.

During the 2024‑25 campaign Salah contributed to over 50 goals and was easily the Reds’ best player.

Now 33 years old, the next club is likely to be his last, and options are limited to clubs with endless money; Fenerbahce and Al‑Hilal appear the most probable destinations.

A move to Al‑Hilal would give Salah a huge payday to secure his family’s future and underscores the growing pull of financially powerful leagues on top talent.
